... I'm just sayin'...

So last Wednesday, I was on my way to Camarillo. I had to be there by 9 am, and coming from the heights, it can be quite a drive. I opted to take a back route, as to avoid the 101 morning traffic. So here's the route: 60 West, 605 North, 210 West, 118 West, Exit Tierra Rejada and go West, Left on Moor Park, Right on Santa Rosa, take Santa Rosa all the way back to the 101. Long drive.

As I made my left onto Moor Park, I heard this huge blaring noise. I couldn't tell if it was from the dirt road, or if it was coming from my car. I looked at my side and rear view mirrors to make sure there was no smoke coming from my car ~ alas, there was. Luckily I wasn't on the freeway, and I quickly pulled over to check it out. My tire had completely blown out. After making a few phone calls, I waited in my car for a tow truck.

I sat thinking about work, and how much this would set me back.... thought about how stupid I looked.... and continued to just think about how stressed out I was... Then I heard a car pull up, and this man comes out of his car, dressed in his pajamas and slippers, asking me if he could help me. So he changes my tire and then we go our separate ways. Thanks Mr. Nelson!

Anyways, there are so many things to be thankful for, and I was reminded that we need to be thankful for all the nice people in this world. Even though I would have been saved by the tow truck that was scheduled to come in another 30 minutes, I appreciated his kindness and willingness to help, despite him needing to go to work as well. Plus, he was wearing his pajamas, so he must have looked sillier than me. :) Let's be inspired to help someone today!
