So this past Saturday, Lil and I were lucky enough to get tickets to go to Coachella in Indio, California. That's 2 hours of freeway driving, plus 3++ hours of traffic and line hell trying to get into the venue. BUT! On the way to the event, at around Cabazon, Lil and I called KROQ to try to win tickets to breakfast with Beck - aka Cinco de Becko. AND WE WERE CALLER 20!!!! It was seriously the highlight of the day. Well, seeing WEEZER was pretty fantastic too. Keane (shown below) sold me enough to go buy their CD, which by the way, is lovely. I listened to it 5 times already today. Coldplay, was of course, in good form. Chris Martin seemed to be in an excellent mood, as they graciously played 3 songs in their encore (flashback to Hollywood Bowl last year where they did not come out at ALL - WTF?). Snow Patrol - also good. Weezer - i REALLY liked them. They played every single song I wanted to hear! Good times. Got a poster for our boy DPark for hookin' it up with tickets. Thanks mon! Anyhow, had a great, yet really tiring (my knees and ankles are crazy sore from all that standing) weekend. posted by Kris
