OMG, I just wrote this LONG entry, and it totally got deleted... GRRRR
OK, so back to the start.
Gras is making progress in our secret project. She was able to rule out one of our leads, and after doing some online 'research' (hey it's not stalking if it's on a public website!), we think we have narrowed down our options to one. If she pulls this off, she will be my ultimate hero of the year. Have I mentioned yet that I love this girl? I love you Gras!
Yesterday I hosted, for the very first time, a west side cell group meeting. Attendance has been up, in record numbers, and I had a dank load of people at my apartment. It was really cool to see my place be so useful. The topic this semester is dating - apparently a topic that many people are interested in!
Today I got a lovely email from an English volunteer that our GO! Team met in Thailand. He gave me a quick update on what he's been up to, which included picking up a volunteer teacher's position in Northern Thailand. His email reminded me of how I felt immediately after arriving back to the states - about how I wanted to do something like that - a job that was completely selfless, yet 1,000 times more rewarding than my current job.
Granted, meeting Jeremy Piven (albeit briefly) was a pretty cool office perk, but I still wonder.... posted by Kris
