Hello all. There has been so much that has happened in the last 10 days, so I think I will need to break it up into about 5 or so posts.
With SB, Sydney White Premiere, Street Scene and tonight's Cirque show, it really has been a busy month. Anyway, today I will start us off on some SB happenings.
Applebum and I took a much needed day off from the Creek and headed up to SB. It's been a long time since I was last there, and it was great to have a chance to reminisce about the days when this town was my home away from home....
At the bottom of the "Thousand Steps to the Ocean" - it's a lie. More like 200 steps.

After a very delicious lunch at Fresco's, we headed over to Le Big Ass Tree. It is one of my favorite things to see in SB, mostly because it's kind of hidden, and it is one of the coolest trees I've ever seen. We took a break there, ate some dessert, and I climbed the tree (even though you're not supposed to. Oh well, nobody stopped me).
One of our many stops to have a drink. We finished off this tasty bottle of riesling before heading to the show. It's slightly bittersweet looking at these photos because while we were drinking this bottle, apparently Matt Costa went up on stage. He was a big reason why we headed up to SB in the first place, so imagine our disappointment when we arrived to find out that he had already finished his set. BOOOOOOOO.
The main event - Modest Mouse
That's another one crossed off of my list of bands I want to see. They were really great, and during one song Costa did come out to shake some shakey thingies. Morongos. I have no idea what they're called. Great concert, good venue, although some warning would have been nice about the early set times.
